Location The house is situated in the delightful village of Valdottavo – 15km north of the beautiful, walled town of Lucca in Northern Tuscany. The village is both quiet and peaceful but at the same time has lots of amenities on its doorstep including an excellent butchers shop, 3 general stores where fresh bread, milk, fruit and vegetables are available daily. There is also a tabac, chemist, hairdressers and post office to ensure you don't need to venture too far for your everyday needs. In addition, there are two bars, one with a pizzeria, which does take-aways, plus a large restaurant and pizzeria as you enter the village.

Travel:
The nearest airport is Pisa (Ryanair, Easyjet, Thomson and British Airways) about a 40 minute drive away whilst Genoa is 2 hours and Bologna approximately 3 hours drive. A car is recommended and can be hired at the airports ( Hertz, Avis, Europcar etc.)
